I'm sad and disappointed and I don't even want this game anymore. It's a vicious circle that shrinks the gaming community and pulls it towards the dominance of a single company. The ever-declining macOS sales, poor support by gaming engines and the other reasons mentioned are only exacerbated by Edmund`s decision `not to bother` with the Mac. You either commit or you don't, the current situation is probably the biggest slap in the face to Mac users since Rocket League ceased macOS updates. Macs are not gaming computers? Well, all my hours of The Binding of Isaac are on the Mac and I was (rather logically) expecting yet another DLC to come to Mac, as the ones before it did.Īs a developer, I can perfectly understand the desire to stop developing new games for macOS (although the problems outlined in the post are mostly pertinent to single-person teams, which is definitely not the case here).Īs a user, though, I'm baffled by the decision to release the biggest update to the game completely disregarding the existing fanbase on a platform that has received full support before.
